I am looking to purchase a smaller boat that I can trailer and have stumbled accross the Utopia and would be interested in thoughts on prior owners, the engine (pros/cons on noise, fuel consumption, etc.), resale value, thoughts on the price of this one. Based on research the Utopia appears to be a great option bc it seems to be a very functional bowrider that will be safe and fun to to drive.
The one I am considering is a 2003 Utopia 185 with the 210HP Mercury Optimax Engine. It looks to be in good shape, although the seats may need a little work. The boat recently had a new alternator, battery put in along with a fuel pump. I am debating have the dealer who has it on consignment for a local owner to run a full diagnostic check (150 bucks). Asking price is $7999 which is aggressive but I think I can get him to $7500. This looks like a great deal to me but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
2003 Utopia 185 Thoughts?

I don't know the Carbureted 210 that well, but I love my Utopia with the 200 DFI in it. Great family boat with lots of storage and room for passengers. I would definitely recommend getting a full check on the Mercury engine. They are good motors, but very expensive if anything major goes wrong.
Sounds like a good price as long as it has no hidden problems.
