To get the answer you are looking for, you need to go out on a 200, simple as that. The both have lots of HP for their size but the functionality of these boats are different. One has ample room, 160 and the other has more than ample room, 200. They both handle like a dream and both go very fast.Im definitely going to buy me a Speedster. But after having visited the dealer and noticing the new Speedster 200. I was very intrigued and now unsure of what exactly to buy. The 160 has the 240 HP Mercury V-6, while the 200 has the twin Rotax- 310 hp combined. Has anyone ridden them both? If so How does the 200 stack up in acceleration, cornering, and topspeed? I had a buddy of mine take me out in his 160 and I was definitely hooked. The dealer that I went to said that they had not had their 200 in the water, so he just beat around the bush and kept showing me specs. The size and capacity of the 200 really appealed to me, but I was curious if anyone could provide any useful feedback....I would really appreciate it in trying to decide which boat to buy. Thanks.
The most deciding factor to date for me, was the cost of maintaining 2 engines over 1. The other was towing Capacity of my vehicle.
Another for you to seriously factor in, how big is your family and what will be the main use for this boat. You will probably make your decsion based on one of these issues or more.
Don't worry about the speed or handling, it is like comparing a blonde to a brunette.
