I'm from Pacific Missouri, which is about 45 minutes west of St. Louis. I own two Sea Doo's, a 96 GTi which I've owned for 3 years and in mid-July I just purchased an 01 Sportster Le (which is what brought me to this site). Needless to say the GTi has been collecting dust ever since, but I'm saving it for my son who can legally drive it on his own in January (a little too cold though). I have two kids and I am recently widowed due to a car accident involving a drunk driver.
I can't believe that August is here already and in MO. we only have about 6 to 8 weeks left in the jet-ski season and I assume I'll boat with the sportster until mid-October. The boat has been great so far and the kids love it (which is the most important thing about it.) Of course my son already wants me to trade it in for one with a bigger engine or dual engines.

I think ya got the good end of that trade TX! You'll either love it or hate it. There is no in-between..HI, just thought I would introduce myself. I'm from Henrietta, TX. It's a small town close to Wichita Falls, TX. I just got my '96 SeaDoo Speedster. I traded my '93 pontoon boat for it. That was a heck of a trade I think. Pontoon boat = boring. I've had several PWCs but this is my first jetboat.
...once you go jet, u never forget.....

Joel here from Vermont. Purchased my first Jet Boat the other day. 2004 Sportster 4-TEC. I've been out one time since the purchase, but going out again tomorrow. I can't say enough about these boats. I had a blast, and 4 hours went by like stupid fast... We were the only jet boat on the lake, and people kept motioning us to do those spins that only these boats can do. It was a blast. Many compliments.
With regard to this site, it's the best. Very well put together, and extremely helpful people. I look forward to spending a good amount of time here.
Best,
Joel

My name is John and I bought my first boat last September. I may be the only non-Seadoo owner on this forum because I own a Sugar Sand Mirage. It is kinda similar to a U185. I think all jet boats are cool.
This is my first boat, I've wanted one for 30 years! I discovered the Doos when shopping for a jet ski, but soon realized the jet boat was best for my family. Only got to use it about 20 hours before winterizing, but I plan to use it as much as I can afford this year! I bought SS because the Doo dealers were uncool and I am too naive (stupid) to buy used.
I live in suburban St Louis MO, so I doo my boating on the Mississippi and Illinois rivers. I will try the Missouri river this spring. I have two teenage boys so I hope the boat will help them get cute dates!
Everyone on this site is great, especially Kevin!

There is plenty of room for you guys here too, maybe I could create a section called "Alternate DOO'ers" for the SS guys if we get anymore.
Thanks for the nice compliments!
