They have an online catalog with microfiche images of all the Seadoo jetboat parts.
The dealer here in Brimingham is way overpriced in my opinion.
Besides, I haven't found anything that WOPS didn't have or couldn't get in a timely fashion, and they have been cheaper even after shipping!

Hydroturf is good, slipping is bad! I just got my Hydroturf a few days ago and I can't wait to get this installed. Especially because if I am installing it, that means I will probably be on the water the sameday!! It starting to warm up and it won't be long now!

I am so ready to get the cover off and get back in the water. After we bought the boat in July, there wasn't a weekend that we didn't get out on the water (we drive about 4 miles and launch), even after the weather had cooled off too much for most folks. We have kneeboarded, tubed, and towed a few skiers, not to mention used enough sunscreen to make WalMart happy!
I've got a grocery list of improvements I want to do, and hope I can get them done in time for warmer weather.

I probably should have done this at the beginning, but better late than never, eh?Bringing this one back to the top since we have some new members.
"Hello. My name is Tom and I have a boating problem."
"Hi Tom!"
Seriously though....I'm 47, have a dog, work for an aircraft company as an Engineer, live in Savannah JoJa, and am married to a wonderfully understanding woman. In addition to boats, my other addiction is motorcycles and audio. I currently have three motorcycles, but will be reducing the inventory by one in order to make room for another! I've also got a dedicated 15'x28' home theater room project underway which also consumes time and $$$$. Now you know why I said I've got a very understanding wife!
Although I just bought a 2002 Speedster 160, I'm not new to boating. Having lived in coastal areas all my life, I've been around boats for probably almost 40 years. My first encounter with a boat was the 16' runabout my Dad built from scratch using plans from Glen L Marine. Throw in some Jon boats (Dad's), a couple small fiberglass boats (mine), a SeaDoo GTX (mine), a 26' Chris-Craft (Dad's), and a 30' Chris-Craft (Dad's) and you can see I've been around a lot of different powerboats. Additionally, my Ex's parents had a sailboat, so I've done some sailing as well. My best sailing experience was three years ago when I chartered (with another close friend couple) a 52' sailboat and spent a week in the British Virgin Islands.
The wife & I have a "goal boat" in mind, but realized that until that goal was achieved, we would be losing out on some boating memories/experiences. So we decided to get a small boat that wouldn't cost us much and would fit in our garage. Initially we looked at new SeaDoo 4-Tec's but found a 160 that was less money and gave us more room and more performance. And - it fit in the garage (barely). So the 160 is it for now and the source of our grins.
Oh....our "goal boat"? That would be a Velocity 280.
Tom

Just wondering if anyone would have any suggestions about precautions to take when taking one of these boats to the salt water. I already know to flush and spray the engine compartment with silicone spray. any other suggestions??

My name is Rex. I live in Minnesota and currently own a '99 Speedster. This is my 3rd Jet Boat. I previously owned a '95 Speedster and a '02 Yamaha XR1800 ( ... the Yamaha was a REALLY bad experience!). In addition to Jet Boating the Mississippi, I live for snowmobiling (2 polaris+1 SkiDoo). I'm looking forward to spending some time on this site!
