I am going to call them and find out if anything other than the Battery needs to be done. I usually charge the Battery every month anyway...I just plan on taking my too the dealer to have them inspect everything and then get them to charge up the battery. Should be good to go after that I believe.

Its too far a drive to my dealer if I can help it....

Instead of charging your battery every month you could just go with a trickle charger. That is what I have done with all my toys during the winter. So, when spring comes around I can just get up and go....That sounds like good idea!

I paid somewhere around $90 CDN or around $70 US.......What is the average price at everyone's dealer to winterize thier Speedster, please specify if you have twin engines or one engine so we can all get the idea of the price?

Sounds like you have an honest dealer! When I got my Doo and had the dealer winterize it, he said I'd have to bring it back to "summerize" it. I figured he was dealing doo so I ignored him and simply hooked up the hose and battery (not in that order) and started it. Lots of smoke, but it started right off and without a problem for the rest of the season.
2004 launch time is soon!!

I agree with you Tigger....I was going to DOO it myself but because of it being brand new and not wanting to void any warranties etc etc.... I opted to take it in and figured I would find something on the net for DYI winterizing. Next year for sure.......Tell ya what, guys- It cost me around $5.99 for some fogging oil in a spray can, $2.00 for some gas stabilizer, and I used whatever antifreeze I already had in the shed. To summerize, it cost about $1.70 a piece for some new plugs to replace last seasons plugs after I burned all the fogging oil out of it. The cat's meow if you're comfortable dooing it yourself........The battery sat in the shed on the trickle all winter, and it dooes just fine. I doo understand that not everyone wants to doo it themselves, and I don't think any less of them...

I was told that.........if I did the work myself that it could possibly void the warranty if it wasn't done correctly. I thought it made sense......... and did not want any headaches!I hear ya..... I don't think it would void any warranty..... that would be like a car dealer telling you that if you didn't get your oil changed with them, it would void your warranty. If mine were new, I would doo the same thing you did.....
Maybe we can put together a step by step procedure for winterizing and post it somewhere on here? Anyone.....Anyone........Anyone? I'll see if I can find something already done on the net...unless you have something already?
Cheers,
