At this point, I have no mechanical issues. The boat runs great! I average 3.5 gal/ hour during the brk period. My only complaint is the 8"-long spider cracks on the floor. I discovered it when I was vacuuming the doo. Good thing it's underneath the carpet! I am not worried for it's covered under warranty. It's just a hassle to drop off the doo for repair and be without a toy this summer. So, for those who are purchasing a new boat...make sure you inspect under the carpet!!!!!

We had the same issue, ours were on the hatch that covers the fuel area. I just had them replace this hatch from another boat they had on the lot before we took delivery.I discovered it when I was vacuuming the doo. Good thing it's underneath the carpet! Were the cracks on the ski locker door or the floor surrounding the ski locker?

They were on the door that covers access to the fuel tank, not the ski locker.
You're lucky! That was a quick fix. Mine is on the floor surrounding the the cover access to the tank. ! Have not got the time to take it to the dealer but I was told that they could not file a claim using my pics. Instead, they will need to take the pics themselves.

I believe you should be okay, I did some wakeboarding behind our boat a couple weeks ago...we were at 8 hours then.Since I'm beyond the brk-in period, is it safe to tow a tube or a wake boarder? Thanx for your input guys!

I was at the sport boat plant in January and watched them make the newly reinforced hatches for both the ski locker and fuel tank baffle access.....oops! Has anyone had any cosmetic problems with the rear storage doors? That was being redone as well.
With respect to the oil used in the SCIC engine any oil meeting the API designation SL, SJ, or SH will work fine. Obviously you can't use a synthetic blend or pure synthetic oil in the SCIC engine. Stick with a brand name oil and you shouldn't have any problem.

Now that you mentioned it, I do have cosmetic problem with the rear storage door! It's not really noticeable though.
So, how much hours can I go pass the recommended service to be safe. All of three dealers I've called are booked. I plan to use the boat this loooong weekend and probably will add another 4-7 hours....

Whew! My local boat mechanic squeezed me in. Service done! Now I dont have to worry about putting more hours on the doo...at least until I hit another 25 hours. For those who live near Santa Clarita/ SanFernando Valley/ LA area..his service charge is reasonable. He also sells parts and accessories. And check this out.....

Took DOO to dealer and got 10 hrs service $188 canadian, oil and filter. Serviced hour meter had 12hrs came out had 32hrs. Bought used with 4hrs on it. I am very happy BRP service. Havent seen any spider cracks yet!Well, I finally reached the end of the break-in period! Now it's time to do the 10 hour service. I got two quotes-$375 and $365; they need the boat for 2 days!!! I guess they are busy! So, out of curiousity I got some pricing for the parts: oil $6.15/qt, oil filter $10.99 and o-ring $4. It looks like there is more work doing the oil change on the doo compared to a car. I actually have not tried doo-ing it. Any idea on how difficult this task is? I think my local boat mechanic charges around $150(that was my former 2-stroke speedster).
