Rotten rubber......no grease in the PTO.... from what I can see, the engine is fairly straight with the driveshaft. Be sure everything from the PTO back still spins freely. Replace the boot and grease the PTO. You can use zip ties instead of the metal clamps to hold it in place. Check your other one too....what would cause this??

Sorry about not telling the whole story. Both PTO boots where replaced about 1.5 years ago. The other PTO boot look brand new, Could the pump lock up and cause this and maybe the motor to blow?

If the pump locked up, it would probably just make the engine quit. If the pump did in fact lock up, it could also have spun the shaft in the PTO, tearing the boot to pieces. The last one would depend entirely on whether or not the splines were worn out on the shaft or PTO. Can you spin the PTO by hand? If not, pull the pump and try it again. If it spins then, try the pump. If it doesn't spin, then there is a chance the engine was not blown to begin with. If this is the case, let us know...
Is the shop that did this to your boat an actual Seadoo dealer?

Yes it's a Seadoo dealer. Now they said on paper that the reason my motor blew was because of salt water damage. Im going to take the pump off and see if I can turn it. I noticed that they took off the top of the motor, I guess to look at the pistons, which I told them monday not to do!!
