Ill start it off, Im not tooo new to the site but I am Jon-Paul

I just recently was in a motorcycle accident, this is when I switched to boating.

Howdy! We just picked up a new '07 Speedster 150 with the wake tower. We had owned sailboats off and on for years, but had been boat free for the last five. On a camping trip in Oklahoma the water sports rental place had a couple of 150s sitting there - they looked fun. We tried one out and we were hooked. We bought the Speedster the next week.

Having been sailing fanatics for a while, we are amazed at the fun we were missing. Now we get excited about the calm days...

We completely replaced the sound system, adding two 10" subwoofers, 2 additional 6.5" speakers at the front, and tower speakers. Instead of the bubble protected head unit we put in a Kenwood marine head unit. We also added a remote in front of the throttle controls and one on the transom (for swimming). 980 watts of amp and a second battery later we decided the boat had to be named "Out Loud".

Now we just have to decide if we keep the carpet or go with the Hydro-Turf. The carpet gets wet, and stays wet. At the very least we're going to put the turf on the transom and bow.

Well - off to the lake!

Got the Challenger last August, I really learned what a jet pump could suck in. Rocks, two hours later and I am rockin again. Anyway boat in Northern Ontario--Wanapitae Lake, Ramsey Lake, and some other small local lakes. So far this site is great. My user/nickname is fido, real name Mark.

Guys, new to jet boats a big change from my past POntoons and a 24ft bayliner cruiser. I love it, a sportster LE 2002. Live on Perdido Bay , shallow water in front of condo, but perfect for the Jet boat.I have a few questions on handling the boat. Although it can be fun riding other wakes a few times we were actually airborne, and felt I was close to losing control. I did not do this on purpose but with a lot of boat traffic on the Intercoastal it can be a challenge for the Jet boat. what is the safest approach to other boats wakes?

Glad to have you here, congrats on the new doo! I would say let off the throttle and hit the wake at a 45 degree angle.

Hi, Bob from Florida- new to owning my own boat. I am 58 years old, married and retired from the State of NJ. We live i Citrus Country and I work part time for Habitat for Humanity. I posted a question on here (HELP) and hope to get some feedback on buying a 2002 Seedoo Islandia. Please read my question and give me whatever help you can give. Doesn't look like i will be able to take it for a test drive before I buy it so I will have to take the guys word for it. Just wondering what I can expect trouble wise with that engine/jet drive. Thanks!

Hey everyone my name is Kevin and I picked up a 2000 or 2001 (as dumb as that sounds) seadoo Challenger 14.5ft. with twin 717cc 85hp rotax; I live in Georgia and spend a lot of time on Lake Oconee; just east of Atlanta; I have had it out on the water every weekend that i have bought it and it has been loads of fun so far. this is my personal first boat but not the families first sea-doo; father currently has a 96 GTX; brother had a highly modded 2001 XP and a 1999 Challenger 1800. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so i can get back on my wakeboard on the new boat. here are a few pics and maybe you all could help me out with the correct year. the registration says 2000 but i am going to be getting some hydro-truf for it and the hydro-turf diagram as well as some parts diagrams i have seen show a latched cargo compartment in the blue engine cover but mine has no latched compartment; which is making me think that it is actually an 01; but anyway here are the pics

i have just purchased a speedster 150 2004 for use in spain, i am taking delivery in July this year , the boat is in grat condition and i would like to keep it this way, i havn,t got the manual yet but i am concerned about flushing the engine after use in sea water, i could do with some diagram / pics of the water inlet and the location, and the correct procedures, can you help? many thanks

Hello everyone, My name is Sandy I am 29 years old and i just bought my first speedboat- the Challenger 180 CS! I live in Chicago IL and I have trailered the boat to several lakes already! I am new to boating but I must say that this is definitely a nice "First Boat!"
So far so good, it has been lots of fun and so far I am pretty impressed with the boats performance!
I bought the boat last year in August and still managed to take it out about 6 or 7 times. I think the first year was a big learning experience for me but I am sure I will still have a lot of questions this season.

Looking forward to some helpful insight from all those avid and knowledgeable boaters out there!
