I bought a 10" Sony XPLOD 1200 Watt Subwoofer thinking I would be able to build a box and easily drop it wherever I want in the boat. I guess I didn't think it through much because as some of you may know, my 1996 Challenger is a little limited on space. Anyone have any ideas on where I could mount the sub? Any suggestions would be great!

I have heard of putting them where the front person sits at there feet. You would need to put a grate over the speaker so noone accidently puts there fot through it tho

I think I have come up with a plan for the Subwoofer install. I plan to make a sealed tube enclosure using concrete tube forms(aka sonotube). It would be similar to the Bazooka tube subs that you can buy. This will limit the amount of space I need so I will be able to mount it on the side of the engine compartment. The amp of course would mount in the storage compartment in front of the driver. If this works, it should provide that extra "bump in the trunk" that I need.
Anyone else done anythng similar or know if this would work?

That sounds great and seems like it would work well. Please keep us posted with your progress and post some pictures as you go along. We have another member who has done something similar recently, they have posted pictures here, http://seadoosportbo...sole-t1646.html.
