I am sorry to hear about your problem but I would recommend spending the money and replacing the part, rather than just doing a quick fix on this one. This sounds like it is a safety issue the way that it is now and I would much rather be safe than sorry. You can pick that part up from World of Powersports for $136.99, http://www.worldofpo...op/express.html, it will allow you to put the part number in here.I was wondering if anyone had some experience or advice about my current problem. To make a long story short, my tow rope got sucked into my intake and in the process wrapped around my reverse gate? and forced it down when it was in forward. Anyway, I'm not sure what to do about it. The reverse cable will push the gate down into reverse, but will not pull it up to the neutral or forward positions. I removed the cable from the reverse mechanism and the pushrod pulls out from the cable, though it does not look as though it has broken. Sometimes I can force it back in and it seems to stick pretty well, but I don't think that it would last long if I installed it back in, and if it failed, I could possibly pull a sub move at full throttle . That would be bad. Anyway, is there a way I can fix this, or must I drop a $150 and get a whole new cable. If so, where should I purchase this cable from? Any good online stores? I know the PN is 204170135 but would like to fix the one I got if I can.
