The cable for my motor cover release is real tough to pull . once it is pulled you have to manually push it back down so the cover will latch. any ideas on how to free it up? The boat only has 6 hours on it. Its not a big deal but a hassle when getting vests and floaties out constantly. Its probably not a warrenty item due to wearability correct? thanks for the help

I would try some WD-40 to see if that helps. If that doesn't work then take it to your dealer and have them look at it, it should be covered since your boat is not even a year old yet.

You may want to adjust the latching pin..I think you can adjust it up or down...On my old DI I had to adjust the pin to latch in just the right spot!...So my Storage lid did not bounce around and knock the hell out of my gauges and was noicey while at rough sea..The cable for my motor cover release is real tough to pull . once it is pulled you have to manually push it back down so the cover will latch. any ideas on how to free it up? I tried the wd-40 type fix..actually I used free-all. Still not working right. When I got the boat it worked good. so I am not sure if it needs adjustment. But will be woth a shot. I plan on taking it to the dealer when i get 10 hours on it. along with the ever growing list of warrenty repairs needed. Driver seat bottom comig loose,Speedo not correct, sticky cable for engine cover, among a few others. My girlfriend took it out while I was away at work when the boat was 4 days old and failed to tie it up properly causeing the starbord side decals to be severly scratched up also dingng up the gelcoat a bit. so as it is winter I am getting ready to order the new decals soon. BTW she dosent drive it anymore.

Take a look at our recall section, http://seadoosportbo...howpage=recalls, I just added a couple of new recalls there. You problem might fall under this recall, http://www.uscgboati...aspx?id=070018T?
