If this has been posted somewhere else just redirect me but I wanted some help on winterizing my 2000 speedster mercury jet drive. Should i replace spark plugs beggining of season or before winter? what else do i need to do, or would it just be better to take it to a dealer???::Note:: i am mechanically inclined

I ,too, am ready to winterize my boat. I guess I'll just have to flush it one more time using a garden hose. I'll replace the plugs as well. I'm thinking of using fuel stabilizer but not sure if it will really helps. What the heck, I the stabilzer stuff is cheap anyway. Too bad no one is available to respond to this post.
Oh yeah, I'll take the battery out and will trickle charge it. I wonder if my old charger for my seadoo gtx(pwc) will work for the boat's bigger battery? Well, please post if you hear any advice from your peers. Thanks!

I have gone two winters without winterising. It only goes down to about -5 here and that is only occassionally. I have the engine bay full of blankets, which I forgot to take out the last time I was out
but I check in on it occassionally and all tends to be ok.
Most guys would suggest you blow out all the water, clean filters etc, remove and store the battery elsewhere and add fuel stabeliser.
Horses for courses!
