Well, not sure how well this section will DOO or even its usefulness, but worth a try. There is another website that is geared a little more towards Canadian DOOers but I had the impression it wasn't DOOing to well. In any case, I think the more we can consolidate DOOers the better off we all are.!!!
So come one.....come all!!! If you build it, they will come!

That's in Lake Erie? Where approximately? Might be worth the trip from Detroit.

Lake Erie - Ontario's side
This is all I could find for a Map so that you could see approx. where. Pottahawk is....... barely visible on this Map. Look near the bottom middle part of the Map and you will see it.
It takes me approx. 1 1/2 hours to get to where I launch my boat (Port Rowan) which is not far from Long Point and Pottahawk Point. Probably another 4 hours to Detroit...somewhere arond there.
This is an awesome gathering of Boats....... I am not even aware of anything else like this around. There are many, many campgrounds around the area if you want to stay the weekend which is well worth it. This is something to experience at least once....... They even bring a barge out in the water and Bands play on the barge.
All sand beach too!!!! If anyone wants anymore information I can post some more sstuff about the area etc.....Most of it you can find yourself but I can give some recommendations etc...

2004 Pottahawk Bash
I found this link.....as you can see this is serious business for the Area and its not for the faint of heart!
They also have a Friday the 13th Motorcycle gathering, whenever the Friday is a 13th if you didn't guess that already. It is a huge event and gets bigger every year. Like a Sturgess event.....

Swimmer,
When you said it was like Mardi Gras only you don't need beads, I was hoping some of your pics would be close ups!!!!

I have removed the Canadian DOO'er section in attempt to consolidate some of the sections together so we don't have so many different sections that serve the same purpose. I think regardless if you are a DOO'er then you are DOO'er and the other sections should cover everything. Let me know how you feel about this.
