hi,
I know squat about boats, and I'm thinking of buying one for me and my wife for the weekends.
we're thinking of buying something that could pull a banana boat. I didn't know where to post this, so I chose the section of the Doo that I liked which is challenger 180 SE.
Please advise me of which model to go to.
Thanks
Banana Boat

As far as power goes must any boat will be able to pull a nice sized tube. Not all boats will be able to pull a big old slolom skier(like me) What it really comes down to is desires beyond that. How many people you plan to take with you. What other activities like wakeboarding, or skiing, fishing. What kinds of creature comforts you want too.
I know most boaters buy a smaller boat to test the boating world out...then they either upgrade within a year or sell the boat within a year. So if you are set on boating and enjoying this past time for years to come, buying a boat to grow into be it kids, grandkids...whatever bigger may be more cost effective in the long run. Along with bigger, no matter what running out of storage space is easy, and a reall pain. Once you throw in all the life jackets, an emergency paddle, fire extinguisher, towels, tubes, wakeboards, skiis, coolers, a shade canopy for the beach...the list can go on and on and on and soon you are out of space and want a bigger boat. At least that is my perception of how it goes.
I personally have a boat that is larger, and I fill it with people regularly. We ski, wakeboard, tube, tube, tube some more, cruise, and fish out of our boat...I have a speedster 200. I know I will upgrade to an even larger boat...I have to strap a cooler to the swim platform now for our extended cruises.
