I have been interested for a long time in buying a Seadoo sport boat. I think this year is finally the year. I am lloking at buying a 2007 180 Challenger SE.
I have been doing some research and have a few questions that hopefully someone can help me out with.
If I buy a boat this season, I will be keeping it at the family lake house. We don't have a dock so I will most likely keep the boat on a mooring offshore.
I have read some things recently regarding hull issues. My question is can these boats spend 3-5 months in the water or do they have to be taken out and kept on the trailer or boat lift.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Looking to buy

Welcome to the board.
Im sure if you had an owners manual to read , it would specify that the boat not be left in the water, and that it should be removed after each use.
Some have had no problems leaving their doo moored, while others have experienced hull blistering from doing so. My personal preference was always to remove the boat from the water and keep it on a trailer. Search thru the forums for blistering- I think someone has posted previously on this subject.
Google "hull osmosis" and look at the results.
