Took the boat out today, had alot of fun. One thing I noticed that may have to do with my cavitation problem is when at low speeds or even at idle when I want to go faster I have to almost give full throttle to get to planing speed. Like I can be barely going above idle and the engines be at 4k rpm while the front of the boat is sitting up, then like I said I have to give 3/4 to almost full throttle to get up and go, then back off the throttle to cruise around 30 mph...Not sure if this is related or not...Other than that we just cruised alot, spun the boat around a couple times...Still scared to try that sub move, one thing I don't like is my fiancee isn't used to going fast on the water yet and she gets all pissy when I get above 35-40 mph so I guess for now the only time I can go real fast is when she isn't with me! Anyway thought I would share my day!

I feel your pain with the other-half in the boat. She doesn't mind the speed so much as she does spinning out and jumping wakes. Oh well.... it hasn't stopped her from going!
Once you get your cavitation issues under control, it's gonna be like a new boat. There will be a noticeable difference in the power and time it takes you to get on plane.
I pulled my pumps today (it rained down here all day, how did you not get any of that?) in preparation for the retrofit. My carriers should be here Wednesday, and with a little luck I can have the job done by Saturday. We may pull the Doo up to Smith Lake (Cullman) then and play up there. I've not been there since I was a kid, it ought to be fun.

Strange how we are buying SeaDoo boats and our others can't seem to enjoy this not nearly as much!!! I have the same problems..... I start launching the boat off a few wakes and she thinks I am out of control.......
I says pardon? I then do a couple spins a few more jumps and then have to settle down because she doesn't like it too much. She does like the tubes though....... I can whip her around all day and it that doesn't bother her......go figure!

Hey tigger, it was cloudy all day and the sun barely came out for a little while AFTER we left! It sprinkled for maybe a minute while on the water..I woke up just now to look out at rain and clouds so that sucks! Yeah once I get the boat fixed it will be alot of fun... See where I work, I am off on Mondays so I am trying to talk her into letting me take the boat next Monday with one of my buds but shes tripping because the boat is in her name not mine....The 4 wheeler is in mine, and the cars are too, but the house and boat are in hers! Neither of us could get all of that on just one of our credit...Had to split it some, in this case it sucks! She claims I will get out there and act stupid and I try to explain to her that it is perfectly normal to do speeds in excess of 30 mph on the lake but shes not buying it....Wish me luck on this one!

Feeling your pain man! Just tell her that MY wife loves to drive the boat fast herself, but can't ride with me that fast. Scared say scared. It's the feeling of control she has the problem with. I try to explain to her that the reason Seadoo put the twin engines in the boat was for performance. If were not going to take advantage of the performance, we might as well have bought a pontoon boat...

There are soooo many.... We have the Phantom by Hydroslide, and are looking at an O'Brien. The O'Brien is thinner.... They both have the strap across the knees. The ProXLT by Hydroslide is good too- The Hydroslides are anywhere from $100 bucks up. The O'Brien I'm looking at starts at $139. Thinking about getting rid of the wakeboard. Without a taller ski pole or a tower, it's useless to me.
