didnt like the idea of having both feet strapped to a board - gonna try wakesurfing with a tow in board with some foot straps - seems to be and up and coming sport - anyone done it?

Here is my interpretation of wakeboarding, but with surfborads (a friend in the picture), no foot straps, done yesterday...tried it at the weekend and ended up with a pulled muscle - wont be doin that again

Well, the above pic is really a variation of wake surfing. You just get towed while laying down, and as you get on a plane, you kneel and then stand up.Cool. Yeah.. Wakeboarding takes alot of practice. I tried once and got up my first time, but the board was too big for my feet and slipped right from under me. Let us know how wake surfing goes..
In real wake surfing you then pull in the rope and get close enough to the boat and wake so you can let go of the rope and then surf the wake with just the momentum of the wake. This has caused accidents on outboard motors, in that when the person falls he gets sucked into the prob. With jets, this shouldn't be a problem...
