I am new to this site as well as a relatively new Utopia owner. My brother bought the boat new in 2002, but it has not been used all that often over the last year or two. When I run the boat the oil light flickers on and off randomly. Sometimes it is at low rpms, and sometimes it is at high rpms. There seems to be plenty of oil in the tank.
Is there anything I should check to see if the sensor is not working or maybe the oil is not flowing properly? Any suggestions?

The same think happened to me on my second outing, and the light has always been on. The dealer first said that it was low gas, and I told them I had a full tank. They then verified the engine and said that it was getting oil ok, so it may be a faulty gauge or sensor. I haven't changed it yet, but don't worry, as long as the engine it does not beep constantly, your're getting enough oil...I am new to this site as well as a relatively new Utopia owner.
