Ok here is the nuts and bolts everyone.....I bought a 2008 230 Wake from a fellow about a year ago or so. Put it in the water for summer and after about 5 hrs I noticed a different sound coming from starboard engine. Shortly after hearing this sound the oil pressure light came on so I shut down engine. After taking boat to sea doo dealer they determined that supercharger had failed and bits and pieces ground up in oil pump which was catastrophic. So no boat for rest of summer and a $5500 repair bill. While in at dealer I had them inspect port side supercharger and it checked out ok. Summer this year now...boat in water after about 2 hrs.....port side engine oil light on now!!! Took back to dealer to check out and they pulled supercharger off to find nothing wrong with it. But after further examination they found a piece of ceramic washer in engine which did not come off this supercharger. So new engine now coming for port side now. Dealer thinks previous owner had supercharger failure and replaced supercharger with new one or rebuilt it. But in mean time piece of supercharger now costing me another $5500.
Should BRP not have to help me out???? Is there any "hidden" warranty somewhere? I thought all 2008's had steel washers? Please help someone, there must be something
