My wife and I are planning a trip down the Chattahoochee River to Apalachicola bay in the summer of 2015. We will start the trip in Columbus, Ga and make our way down the river to Apalachicola Bay. The total waterway distance is 290 miles with a fall of 190 feet accomplished by three locks and dams. It would be a one day trip down the river, staying several days in Apalachicola Bay or maybe my favorite place, St. Andrews Bay, because of Shell Island. We thought it would be awesome if we could get several boats and even PWC's to join us. I would love to hear your thoughts. If you live near the Chattahoochee and are interested, let me know.
