When I had the rotax, I used to do it myself. I used the same grease gun that is used for the trailer's wheel bearing grease. It's a simple procedure in which you re-fill whatever grease the pump has consumed. I actually left my boat for service yesterday and requested this be done. It helps in keeping the pump from wearing out it's internal parts. When having our 2004 Speedster winterized ,the service adviser told us that our oil needed to be changed in our jet pumps. After looking in our Seedoo factory workshop manual,I cannot find any info. specific for doing this.It does show filling the bearing area with grease during a repair or rebuild.Does anyone out there have any knowledge or experience with this? All help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks Gary.

rickster is right. The jet pumps were changed to grease packed instead of gear lube. Usually the grease does not have to be repacked every year unless there is a problem with your pump. When you do repack the pump use a high quality heavy duty synthetic grease. It has a better tendency to resist burning up as other grease does. When I had the rotax, I used to do it myself. Thanks for the info. It's a good thing I asked the question because my dealer tech apparently didn't know that the pumps are packed with grease and I might have ended up paying for something not necessary.I'm glad I own the factory workshop manual because at least I know what questions to ask. Thanks again,Gary.rickster is right.
