Yes I had my dealer do that to my 2003. They botched the job and my #1 would not charge unless the switch was in dual mode. Not hard to fix but just more frustration with that dealer's service department.. sorry, rant off.i have a 2002 islandia and would like to install dual batteries was wondering if anybody had done this before any info would be greatly apprieciated
It is a fairly simple installation and the switch comes with all the instuctions you need. The new battery tray screwed down next to the existing battery with sheetmetal screws. There is plywood imbedded in the fiberglass in that area but mind the length of the screws.
The switch was mounted in the side wall between the dirvers seat and the sun lounge/rear seat/engine cover.
The boat is not where I can get to it right now but I can take a picture of the installation and email it to you if you wish.
Email me at wewebb@hotmail.com and have something about Islandia and batteries on the title so I don't think it is spam.
