I Just Bought an 07' Sea doo Speedster 200 Wake.... I have a few concerns and would like some advice as to what I should hold the Dealer accountable for.
-Depth Finder thinks im in 4 feet of water at all times and beeps non-stop
-Speedometer fails intermittenly after 30 MPH
-RPM on Left engine is typically 6-700 rpms higher than right engine when throttle are lined up cruising
-Rt engine seams to have a lot more power than left as well as way more supercharger boost/whine noise
-Ballast tank doesn't seam to want to drain after filling and I notice water outside the ballast tank as well.
- Boat porpoises like CRAZY with more than 2 people in it. Normal????
Theres been a few other intermittant problems but overall I love the boat. Ultimately i want everything fixed nice and I want to be able to enjoy this boat without any problems......... Somebody fill me in on what to do with these issues Please and Thankyou! =)

I own an 05 and expierenced a few of the same issues you are. The electronics in these boats are quirky, espceially if your batteries get low from cranking the stero all day. As for the tacs, they will never read the same and at time jump around. As long as the engines are running within 500 to 1000 rpm from each other I would not pay any attention to it. Speedometer sucks on these boats, I use my aftermarket GPS depth finder for speed control when wakeboarding. If one engine seems to be overspeeding, it could be due to the wear rings around the impeller. These boats have plastic outer rings around the impellers that are designed to wear instead of the impeller. If you suck in some rocks, sand or debis it will score this ring and you will start losing power. If the engines are running pretty close together, and one just seems more powerful it could be something else. (Haven't had that problem yet)
The porposing was a big poblem for me. I just install a ride plate extention that Seadoo came out with and it worked. I lost about 8 mph top speed but it was worth it to me since I could not run this boat over 30 mph when loaded with people. I posted the info with the part numbers, cost around $400 and not difficult to install.
Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the reply. as for the motors, the Rt sounds so much stronger, u can hear the supercharger whine like 3 times as loud as the left. 8 mph top speed loss?? So how fast do you go now? 50??

Looks like you bought the boat used, however the depth finder and leaking/non draining ballast tank should be addressed by the seller unless it was an "as is" sale. That said my depth finder beeps so much I just turn it off and still don't know how to adjust its settings. The rest of the "issues" are pretty common "sea-doo" traits and I wouldn't be too concerned unless one of the engines wern't running right, usually it's either a worn "wear ring" or "impeller". If the engines don't rev close to the same at the lower rpm's try adjusting the throttle cables a bit (mine were out a bit). The porpoising is an issue with some, mine has no issue at all at any speed (knock on wood), this may be to a newer hull design or maybe that I put my anchor/chain and remote power/battery ect... in the nose storage for weight?
Cheers
