So, what I thought would be my first weekend with my Challenger for the season was canceled due to all the boat ramps being closed. I drove up to Caesar Creek Lake early Saturday morning (without the Doo) to make sure the ramps were open. What I observed was the docks more than 50 yards out in the water. Of course some fisherman had removed a barricade at one of the lake's 5 ramps, and were out there. Disappointed I spent Sunday combing the web for better information. I found 2 sites that were somewhat helpful.
US Army Corps of Engineers
NOAA - Hydrology
I little digging around the Engineers site and I found the Daily Lake and River report, showing that Caesar Creek was 15ft above "Summer Pool". So I am going to try and contact the local office to find out at what depth the ramps will re-open. I guess it will be different for each lake, and probably each ramp.
The NOAA page eventually led me to a prediction page, showing that at least the Ohio at Cincinnati (Caesar Creek is a flood control reservoir off the Little Miami which empties into the Ohio just upstream of Cincinnati) is going down faster than predicted. That leads me to believe they will start lowering the lake later this week (unless we get substantial rain, yet this week).
Well, I hope you find these pages helpful in planing your boating season here in the US. For our international friends, I wonder if you have similar information.

Saw this on another forum so I figured we could give it a try to see if we can spark up any off-topic discussion.
"This thread is about posting anything on your mind. Let me begin, I think we need a section for us to release what is troubling us. Anything goes so keep it clean for the family usage, if you know what I mean.
I think we all need 5 minutes of fame because 15 minutes is too long! Post your favorite picture and lets all get a good look at the members participating here on the forum."
