BTW lessons learned... no need to order separate wear ring - new housing came with one installed ..So now i guess I have an extra for when the right side goes... Also the replacement pump housing they gave me was made of plastic with thicker flanges than the old metal one requiring replacement of the (4) studs with new longer ones. Was an absolute killer to get the old studs out. Good luck.

thank you for your response. I am told that the speedster's Impeller Housings are different than the Sportster. I found out through my local dealer that the orginal housing is no longer produced. I would have to purchase a whole new housing assembly. I will check out WOP.Replaced my left side impeller housing on the 95 speedster with one I bought from WOP. They have a 'package' deal set with all the parts you need to swap and with both bearings wear ring & the front seal already installed in housing.
