I have a 2002 Challenger 1800 That I bought new in May of 2002.
Likes:
I love the Mercury, I love the way the boat runs and rides. I like the fact that it is fun to drive and still has room for friends and family. I don't look at it as a boat. I look at it as a 7 man jet ski! I think this is the perfect size. Room for 7 and their gear and still very easy to pull and store. Very fast boat for the money! Runs great no problems or issues.
Dislikes:
Porpoising
Mine has the later with only one step. Very difficult to get out of the water!
The front seat pad is sorta flaking and discoloring
Factory stereo is not loud enough.
Wish I could get the wakeboard tower from an X and put on mine.
7 months of use! 12 months of payments!
Summary:
It is a great boat I love it. With only a few dislikes that can (and will be) corrected.

I'm in the process of swapping my 1 step ladder out for a 2 step version. I've been in contact with Windline (makers of our ladders) and have now ordered what we believe will be a match for the mounting hardware already on the boat.Okay I'll go first. I think this is an awsome site and would like to see more information passed along in here. So Here goes. I think most of us have the same likes and dislikes. However, lets see.

Thank you for the info. I will be watching. Do you know if it was only the 2002 models that came with the one step ladder? I was looking at the other boats and it seems that from 97 til 2000 they had they 2 step ladders. Maybe Sea-Doo stopped using them because there were problems? Anyway here is the link that was submitted on the "sundeck" topic. It shows a two step ladder for a 2002 and the entire peice is $108.00I'm in the process of swapping my 1 step ladder out for a 2 step version. The UP2 C has the curved tubes at the top and the UP2 E has streight tubes. These models of ladders are made for SeaDoo and aren't shown on the web site.
I should know more next week when mine comes.
The person to talk to at Windline is Lakisha.

Cool! I will hang back and see how you make out when you get yours in. I took a pic from ebay of a 99 challenger and it has the two step ladder. I posted it as pic 11 on the "other doos" page in the gallery. If you are interested. So far I can tell you that the Windline makes the ladder for SeaDoo. They have 2 part numbers, the UP2 C and the UP2 E.

The picture you show is suppose to be a UP2 C ladder from Windline. The ladder I ordered is to be in my hands Wed or Thur. I'll take it to the cabin that weekend and report back the next week.Cool!
