I bent my pylon pulling 2 people on a tube. When pulling more than one, use a harness.Hi all. Just spent a glorious first weekend with the new SCIC. An absolute blast. Out of the hole, plane and speed was everything I read and heard it would be. Winds were up on Saturday to the point that I found myself fighting it but the hull cut through the waves - surprisingly smooth. I almost wanted it to pound me harder. My crew said they were scared s*%*>_%s at times so maybe its just me. Sunday was perfect for pulling tubes, kneeboards and wakeboards. Its been awhile but I remember struggling to get on plane and pull the skier out. Those days are gone. In the time it takes the engine to hit 4k with 2 people aboard you are on plane and sking. A definate thrill ride for those of us with a couple of kids and cannot afford to maintain 4 PWCs. Its awfull hard keeping it under 6500 and easing the throttle up and down (4 more hours to go). I think I am buning around 12 litres or $12 of fuel an hour. One thing I thought was wierd was that slowly coming down from a 6500 rpm blast - between 4500 and around 3000 seems to be a "Dead Zone". No thrust to maintain any speed or plane. No different between 2 people aboard or 4. As I am easing back the throttle and the water begings to catch up, when it hits 4500 the thrust seems gone and the boat is almost coming to a stop. Is this the "Cavitation" that I am hearing about or is this normal with backing off? Oh, and I was pulling the tube with the ski pylon - and I was worried if the load would snap the thing off - does everyone else use the pylon to pull tubes with 1 person - 2 people?

Where do you get one of those (never seen one).
I also plan on some tube pulling.
Maybe we should just put an eyelet in the rear of the unit and use a shock cord?

sounds a littel curious - have you tried it - i have had no probs with 2 people towing from pylon?
