I to am cautious (scared) , My son however has nerves of steel (or just dosent have a care, hes not making payments) he does spins near full throttle, no damage yet . The boat will take on several gallons of water if you recover slow.i cant tell you anything about your boat - but i was very hesitant when trying spin outs - generally what i do is execute a turn at amoderate speed as i turn i increase throttle - and the boat just spins - i havnt got the bottle to try it a full stretch - particularly because you will be familiar with the resisitance on the sterring when the pump is at full tilt - i would like to shear of the sterring nozzle as the 8mm stainless rod which moves it doesnt look like its designed to take it
but thats just my opinion and obviously im a scaredy cat

On an unrelated note, I did some speed runs with a GPS and saw a maximum of 55.4MPH with two adults in the boat and a full tank (310HP S200). I only get 53.4 with the bimini up! It really makes a difference.
I posted on the other board, but I will do so here as well. I had a problem fixed on Monday that caused me some fear. After stopping for a while we restarted the starboard engine and it made a nasty hissing sound and jumped to 3500RPM and would not go down (it would go up). After a quick trip to the dealer (not far from the lake) they found a loose air sensor in the intake on that engine. Air was sucking past it and screwing up the computer (hence the 3500RPM level). They put the sensor back and all was well. I thought I was in for a short boat week but the dealer got a guy on it and fixed it quickly.

Finally had "THAT TALK" with my son while we were out on the boat doing some male bonding. "Son ,why don't you show the ol man how to do a spinout" Its fun ! It's really not that hard ! Wait till the ol man shows MOM his new tricki guess thats is my hesitation as well, being the one making payments and not wanting to risk damage to my new boat. so there is no risk of a tip over? i know my salesman said you can do just about anything to the boat and it won't flip? still just nervous about it i guess.

I have let my wife drive my airboat a few times I've got to admit its a different feeling being the passenger She does quite well by the way. She hasnt got the nerve up for the sportster yet.I can hardly waitthey all get used to it eventually - mygirlie now gets her revenge when she drives - and i have to say it can be quite hair-raising -
