I'm about to sell my boat, and give up boating all together!!! I recently got married, had a bachelor party involving my boat. I was transporting my buddies out to an island - First few trips out to the Island were great. Boat started getting slower and slower all day, then it wouldn't go over 5mph. And it ended up that I was on land and ALL of my buddies were on the island to camp, and it was 9pm. I was stranded..... the groom... AT THE BOAT DOCK... AWAY FROM ALL THE FUN !!! Took it out of the water, and noticed there was a huge chunk of rubber stuck in the back vent of my jet drive. I'm assuming it was a peice of my wear ring. I am going to change it myself, as I've noticed that most maitenance on the "2004 sportster LEDI" is NOT rocket science. (BTW - I had to pay SEA-TOW $300 to get my boyz off the island - all 9 of them) I am hating boats right now. I read about Tiggerman's Refigeration of the wear ring to get it properly seated however that was a different boat model. I'm wondering if all that info is applicable to me? Any comments on this matter would be greatly appreciated!
Item 2:
I would very much like to buy a new "wear ring" HOWEVER I do not want to buy it from the dealer, who might I add sells the bilge pump for my model @ $130 when I found the same model at an over-priced local marine store for $47 ! ! AND NOT TO MENTION - charges me stoopid money for some really dumbass diagnostics. I AM NOT TAKING MY BOAT INTO ANY SHOP ANYMORE!!! I'm frustrated to the point where - If I can't fix it myself I will trash it and boating ALTOGETHER! IS THERE ANYWHERE ONLINE WHERE YOU CAN BUY BOMBARDIER PARTS FOR A 2004 SPORTSTER LEDI?? What about a Manual!!! Why do only dealers/shops have this privilaged information? So they can screw consumers...? UHG!!!
Help Please,
Nick

Go to www.worldofpowersports.com, get their number and call them. They only list the older models on the website, but should be able to get whatever you want.
