I was out on the lake yesterday when the engine died. I started paddling back in to shore when my wife noticed water was coming in the boat. Once I got back to shore I checked to find out how the water was getting in and turned on the bilge pump. By the time I figured out what was going on the engine compartment had filled up with water to the engine manifold. The air filter was still dry however. We connected the water intake tube that had come loose and tried to start the engine with no luck. I replace the battery as it has taken a beating lately and still get same result. Engine will crank over once, then you get a beep. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks, Robert

Check to see if water is in the engine would be my first thought.  Second would be to check all electric connections for water.
