Has anyone tried using K&N filters on their SCIC? Does it improve the performance that much?

I plan on setting the boat up with a K&N filter along with an aftermarket intake system similar to what Yuji has done with his challenger Yuji's DIY intake; very good idea. You may get a very small horsepower addition, but nothing that will you feel at the seat. However, it will allow the engine to breathe MUCH better. I'm all for that.

check out dales jet sport - lots of info about filters and freeflow exhausts - stage 1 kits etc etc - worth reading - look for 4-tec parts and kits - its geared up around the rxp - but its the same engine so its only a matter of routing the hoses for the boat version - or at least thats what i have been told by my dealer.

Yes...alot of the RXP mods apply to our boats. I'm getting a PPG Solas repitched impeller reall soon. This 180 with my intake and exhaust mods is cavitating now, so holeshot and initial acceleration suck I think a PPG, RIVA, Rotax Racing level 1 or 2 kit, less the rxp specific stuff, would really make these boats sing Biiger intercooler, I've also been reading alot about truing the rideplate and stuff. I'll keep at it till I get sick accelleration and get into the low 50 mph range.

I'm assuming it's making a little more power down low. More power requires a repitch but...it's not out of the realm of possibililty that my wear ring has some scarring and is causing the cavitation. I checked it last week and it was good but you never know
