I was trying to look for the fuel filter but couldn’t find it (don’t know where), I was looking for the fuel pump fuse but couldn’t find it either. I checked the other 5 fuses and they looked normal. I was thinking that may be the fuel is clogged and not getting into the engine???
Does anyone know where the fuel filter and the fuel pump fuse on the Optimax engine is? Also, any idea what could be the cause?

Update - Problem solved.I just got an '03 Utopia with the 200 HP Optimax engine. It ran fine when tested and ran fine Sunday morning at home before we took it to the lake. Once launched, it started and we went to the other side of the ramp, shut it down and couldn’t get it to start after that. I thought it may have been gas so I added 20 gallons (it was emptied!!!) but still couldn’t get it to start. The engine would crank but it would not run. Seems like it can’t get any fuel to the plugs, etc. Pulled the cover and sprayed some starter fluid directly into the carburetor butterfly, it starts but when let go of the start key, the engine would die again. The carburetor looked completely dry, should there be some fuel in the carburetor?

Fuel was not getting into the engine so we cleaned the line, checked the fuel filter, and checked the fuel primer pump. For some reason, the fuel was drained from the primer pump and no fuel was getting into the engine. I guess it wasn’t powerful enough to pull gas from the tank and up to the pump location, at least that’s my guess. The engine ran fine last night, will test it out later today to see if it will continue running in the water.
