I purchased a 2012 Sea-Doo Challenger 180 SE last winter and took it out for the first time yesterday.  One thing that I noticed about the information display is that it did not show the water temperature.  My previous boat (2007 Sea-Doo Speedster 150) did have this feature so I assumed my new boat would as well.  I looked at the owners manual and page 50 states the following under the "Information Display" heading:

 

Water Temperature Display

Displays the water temperature of the water surface in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F)

 

However when I look at the (3-4 page) Sea-Doo Challenger pamphlet that highlights the features of the boat I don't see the water temperature gauge mentioned.  So I'm confused.  Should this boat show the water temperature?  If so how do I see it?

I have the exact same boat. The 2012 180SE's do not have that option. Too bad. Not sure why the other models have it and not ours!

The water temperature sensor was combined with the speedometer. From 2012 they switched to GPS sensor instead of the mechanical. So, there is no sensor now. Manuals have not been updated properly after the change. There are many inconsistencies there.
