I have a 2000 challenger with the 210 mercury. It starts right up and sounds great. The problem is when you to throttle up at wide open you are only going about 28-30 mph and running about 3800 rpm. Could this be the limp mode? any help would be great. Thanks

Nope... limp mode had a very distinctive stutter when you get to 2500 RPM.  I bet you lost one bank of coils.   Check the spark on all 6.

 

it's amazing... you can loose 3 cyls on the merc engines... and they run/sound great... they just don't make any power.
