Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum and hoping I could pick your brains for some knowledge. Some friends and I were out on the lake on May 9th, the boat was running perfectly just as it had two days prior. We stopped for a bit to swim around but when I tried to start the boat to leave neither engine would turn over, not even a click. Battery switch was on, boat was in neutral, battery has just under 13 volts and I pulled every fuse and they all looked good, none of the breakers under the steering wheel had popped either and we had about a quarter tank of fuel. The main reason I was drawn to the Seadoo brand was that they had two engines, in case one fails I'd have a back up to limp back to the dock. Last year the boat went into limp home mode when it over-revved and threw the code P16C8 and the weedless system failed but that's a whole other story. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did the boat go through a proper PDI before you took delivery of it?  It sounds like the dealer may have missed something in this inspection, so I would recommend reaching out to your dealer to determine a time when you can bring it in for some diagnotics since it appears you have checked the logical possibilities already.  Keep us posted.

Thanks Kevin, I'm scheduled to bring the boat to the dealer on the 21st. I'll definitly re-post once they diagnose the problem. I'm not sure what the dealer inspected prior to me taking delivery of the boat. It had about 4 hours on it when I test drove it and I picked it up the following day because they wanted to clean it up. The only thing I noticed that was wrong last July when I took delivery was that the battery tie down was loose so I tightened it and I was on my way. I'm definitly in no way a mechanic however, I know just enough to get by. Thanks again, you'll be hearing from me soon

Did you have power on the guages? If not Check wiggleing the cables on the battery posts. If they are loose this can create the same issue you describe.

I had the same thing happen to my 2012 wake 210 last summer. I thought that I was going to be calling for a tow. I stuck my head into the compartment in front of the steering wheel and felt the various wires and found that a wiring harness connector had come slightly apart. When I pushed them together everything was fine. 

 

 

I also had another incident where the power and key were on but the screen was blank and the motors turned over but didn't start. This is different than you scenario but what fixed this was turning the battery switch and key off and then back on. Some kind of computer reboot!

Djm2u- I did have power on all my gauges and everything worked fine, the engines just wouldn't turn over. It turns out the the neutral switch was faulty and had to be replaced. Finally got the boat back from the dealer after 30 days and the boat starts now. However, I am returning it to the dealer tomorrow because the stereo, heat, blower, horn, basically nothing electronic works on this boat. I'm getting very frustrated and thinking I picked up a lemon with this SeaDoo.
I know how you feel Kman, about having your head in that compartment in front of the wheel. I've spent more time up there trying to fix this boat than I have been out on the water!

Got the boat back! There was a loose ground wire in the engine bay. Also, there is a wire that runs power to the circuit breakers under the steering wheel. The nut that holds that wire on had backed itself off causing the wire to come loose. Lastly, the circuit breaker behind the battery switch had tripped, I can assume from the other wiring issues. Everything works fine now, I'll keep my fingers crossed and finally get back out on the water after being without a boat for over a month already I'm long overdue

First trip out on the water and the boat ran flawlessly! We had some trailer issues, the dust caps popped off in the parking lot at the boat launch and some grease shot out of each axle. Very odd, considering the launch is only about four miles from my house. Also, after we loaded the boat and pulled the truck ouand trailer out of the water we heard a pop. We parked and noticed the nylon winch strap had broken. I guess we're just cursed. I emailed pictures to Karavan since the trailer is only 11 months old to see if any parts would be covered under warranty even though I have already replaced all the parts.

Hey I had this same problem to my new 210 wake this last week. I tried everything like you what i did was shake the rear jet gates up and down and it started. I phoned my dealer and they mentioned a neutral switch....where is it can i do the work myself so i dont loose boat time?

thanks, i have tried something else. if the boat wonder start in neutral i put shifter all the way full back to neutral and back to reverse all the way then back to neutral and it works....i think maybe adjustment on the throttle cable?
