Had it out for first time sat. I just bought this boat it was a lake boat and well taken care of. I am new to the boats but have had many skis
my right engine reves to 7000 on take off with very little go. Left seems fine if I do one side at a time left gets it on plane ok right just stays at 7000. The wear rings and the blades are new and I checked the gap both ok.
I saw the shaft seals go bad on these. I pulled the covers no water leaking but the right shaft seemed like it was about 3/4 of in more towards engine then left. I greased both fittings when I did the one on the motor side the shaft moved to the rear of the boat almost 1/2 in. Could this have been my cavitation problem.
Thanks in advance

I have a '96 Speedster. The only time I've had problems like you describe is when there are weeds blocking the intake area. I'd take the boat out of the water and check that grate area very well. I don't think a shaft moving fore/aft would have that problem. When you say you've checked the wear rings and they are okay, does that mean you pulled off the back ends so you could actually see the impellers?
