ok the video shows you can spray fresh water into the engine bay?????
can you do this with all models including 4 strokes
i only ask as water and electrics dont mix and spraying cold water on a hot engine is that such a good idea?????
i am a bit annoyed that the video only deals with a 2 stroke and there must be special requirements for certain models???

I have always sprayed mine down when out in saltwater. I don't see any reason to spray it down if you are in fresh water. I think everything is water tight. I never had a problem with my old 4-tec sportster and am doing the same with my S200 (just finished spraying it down about five minutes ago after a nice three hour tour of Portsmouth Harbor (Portsmouth NH)). I do wait for the engine to cool down before I spray down the engine compartment however, I would not want to shock it with cold water when it's hot.ok the video shows you can spray fresh water into the engine bay?????

i havent sprayed my engine compartment for the following reasons - the only water that gets in it is when i wash down the topside and it drains through it - there has been no salty crystals on anything inside the engine - all seems to be well watertight - which is good - when i spray the deck down i always let plenty of fresh water wash right thru the boat and sadly i always taste the water coming out the drain plugs to see if its salty - which it isnt - infact there are still the odd grp shavings still coming out of the drain plugs!
