I figured it refered to wake surfing. I've heard that your position while wake surfing puts you in prime location for carbon monoxide.well the manual says dont doo it -
but what is it?
A friend has claimed he has actually passed out while wake surfing.
Judging by all those warning signs that came with the boat regarding carbon monoxide I figured teak surfing and wake surfing were one in the same.
If it isn't I'd love to know what teak surfing is as well.

teak surfing is performed by hanging on the swim platform at the back of a boat while the boat is moving forward in slow motion

Yep, what he said. Folks tend to pass out and sink like a rock. Lot's of folks died last year from doing this. The carbon dioxide build-up right behind the boat is huge (within a few feet of the stearn).donnt dooo it

OK.....what am I missing??? Although I've not engaged in every form of water sports, I have done the skiing thing, the tubing thing, the kneeboard thing, and I fail to understand the draw of "teak surfing".

i guesss at slower speeds you get quite a wake at the swim platform - but carbon monoxide poisoning is a set back - i'll stick to skiing
