i would like a second DESS key - my dealer says they are £80 - ($140)
i loose things a lot especially at sea
so i thought a spare would be a good idea
do we know if dealers hold a second just in case
perhaps keviseeb could shed some light on this
it seems odd that you are only given one key???

The dealer can program one for the boat if they have the boat. If you purchase a second key, they will need your boat on-site to program the new key. I had two on my last boat and they will "burn" my spare to the new boat next time I bring it in.i would like a second DESS key - my dealer says they are £80 - ($140)

Unfortunately the only way a key can be programmed is to have the boat present at a Sea Doo jet boat dealer in order to hook it up to the B.U.D.S. computer. We charge normal retail price for the key ($27.97 plus tax) for anyone whether they bought the boat from us or not. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
