What is the differance in performance between the SCIC and the 4 Tec? I am trying to figure out if the 155 HP is enough. It sure sounds like a small amount of power.

I have a buddy running the 155hp naturally aspirated and he loves it...but, for the extra money the supercharged Intercooled motor simply out runs the 155 in every way...acceleration, mph etc. I have the Challenger 180 SCIC and wouldn't even consider the 185 hp SC w/o intercooler if that helps you any.

ExCon you talking about witch boat... the sportster and the sportster SC IC ?
The SC IC is a 4-tec... its the same engine then the 155 hp but there is a superchager and a intercooler added.
Based on the test, the Sportster SC IC accelerate from 0 to 30 mph in 3 second faster than the standart Sportster and the SC IC have a top speed of approximately 12-15 mph higher than the 155hp.
But the 155hp is enough power
There are all the Rotax engine with specification -->
http://www.rotax.com...gine.Models.htm
And there are 2 reviews, one on the 155hp and one of the 215hp (scic)
http://www.boatingli...&categoryID=122
http://www.boattest....nfo.aspx?ID=935 ( the top speed, in the test, is like 10 mph lower)
if there something incorrect please correct me

if you can go for the scic - i did - and they are superb
i am getting over 60mph on mine with 2 people on board
deep water slalom starts for skiing are easy
it is a fantastic piece of kit.

plus in the future - a scic will have a better trade value or second hand value than the 4-tec, or at least thats what i think,.

Has any one installed a NOZ system in a 3I 155 hp Rotax motor.
Any one out there a mechanic, will it work?
How can you over rider the rev limiter or change it to a higer limit?

I think he's refering to NOS..or Nitrous Oxide. Adds a burst of O2 to the intake for a quick burst of hp. The Nitrous gas is stored in a 68 ci carbon fber tank.
