My speedometer did not work. Replaced the spin wheel and gauge. On land, I turn the key to the first stop, spin the wheel, I get a reading. I put the boat in the water, run the boat, it does not work. I
finally got the boat moving fast, turned off the motor, and turned the key to the first stop while it was still moving, and it would work. I'm thinking it is something with the ignition switch. As you would have to replace the entire wiring harness to replace the ignition switch (which is pricy), is there any way to check the power on the harness to troubleshoot before I try and replace the harness? Am I missing something?
