Welcome to the group!Recently purchased a 2000 year model Challenger 1800. Guessing that the previous owner (bought this unit at auction) bent the original pylon as it has been removed. Looking to replace it with either an OEM pylon or an aftermarket. Any suggestions on where to locate?
Start by looking here or calling:
www.worldofpowersports.com for the OEM replacement pylon...
You may have to call for this year model boat.
Your local dealer should be able to give you a price as well.

Thanks,Long time no type John-- hope everything is going well for you!
Everything is good on this end. Weather is just starting to get nice on Long Island. I just bought a place down in Florida this past Nov. So I have been trying to visit down there one week every month. Going back down this weekend for one last week. When I get back I will open up the boat. I will replace the battery and the spark plugs. I still need to find out where the rumbling noise is coming from on my portside motor. You had said last year it could be the driveshaft bearing. I think in may be in the impelller. The noise is muffled when the boat is in the water. I think when I sucked up that rock and it jammed the impeller it may have damaged the impeller itself or the bearing. I will take the entire assembly apart and check it out. I am sure I will again be seeking your advise.
