Greetings from the Potomac River! I'm new to the group. I bought a 1998 Speedster last year - love it! It does porpoise extremely easily, though. Is there a solution that will get it to stay pitched a little higher?
Thanks!
Mark

Welcome to the group! The shorter hull boats are prone to porpoising as you have found out. Some easy fixes involve trying to distribute more of your load forward instead of aft. Think about the weight in the rear of the boat: engines, fuel, battery or batteries, and of course passengers. Your carry on load could be distributed more forward if there were storage areas forward of the helm. The addition of trim tabs would help greatly. One member here claims their product helps with this as well (cobrajet steering). Go here:

for a very nice introduction to trim tabs and how they work. See the cobrajet steering post here on this site for more info about that method. There is also a link to Jeffs site in that post.
