Has anybody had any experience with installing a in hull transducer for a fish finder.I was wondering if the finder would be accurate at cruising speeds. I have a Sportster 4-tec 2004.
Any and all feedback would be helpfull
Thanks

I installed a Hummingbird Paramont 3D on my Speedster last season. Awesome unit and I got directly from Hummingbird on a clear out of their stock for a great price.Has anybody had any experience with installing a in hull transducer for a fish finder.I was wondering if the finder would be accurate at cruising speeds. The only problem is it is slightly large but I have it on a RAM mount off the passanger side. The problem is without readjusting it, it's a tight sliding through to the bow seat.(Only done while stopped anyways)
As for pick-up at high speeds it scans the bottom and gives depth, contour, speed and water temp. But the actual fish indicators doesn't show - keep in mind this is a high speed near and full throttle. I can't remember when it indicates the fish maybe at 35-40 ish.
