Ok , here’s the deal.. It took me just under 13 hours each way.. Yes I was cruzin! Got there Thursday around lunch, Boat was as clean as describe… even better.. He lives outside Birmingham in Trussville so I didn’t get into the city. We went Logan Martin lake, it was very low but a nice lake, cool houses on the lake. There were a few others out on the lake, mostly fishin boats but everyone was friendly. I had been over a year since being behind the wheel of a jet, but I felt right at home instantly! It is very predictable in the handling department & I thought my old Challenger with many pump mods was quick.. it’s a rocket out of the hole!! These things are great! All in all it was a nice trip, I got home to cold temps, did all the transfers yesterday, now I want to get out in it !! Its got a bimini top but it was garage kept so there is no cover & until the weather breaks & I can get another bay onto my garage I will need a cover… any suggestions?? Im leaning to a doo cover, that’s what I had & liked the vacu thingy on it…w00t!! Want all the details ie. which lake did you go to, how the boat performed, what you think about Birmingham, etc...... Get some rest!

Ahh... I know Logan Martin well. The water is always lowest this time of the year. We are north and west of Birmingham on the Black Warrior River. Glad you're pleased with the Speedster. I certainly was when I got mine. I spent the day getting it out of storage, and cranking her up- which she did with ease.
I can't really help you with a cover, ours is garage kept during the winter and parked under a canopy during the season, so I haven't really looked into them.
It was very nice here yesterday and today--- got a little sun on my (balding)head!
C'MON SUMMER!!!!!!!
