I would highly recommend spending the extra $75 and getting the 3M self-adhesive backing.

Hey Kevin, any tips or tricks for installing the Hydroturf? I did get the 3M backing which cost me a bit more for shipping but hopefully its worth it, I took your suggestion.

I bet you can't wait to get it out of storage. My Turf is here but I missed the UPS guy so I will have to wait until Monday. Oh well, boat is in storage anyway so I can't put it in.

Good luck on the installation. Becareful when you lay the hydro-turf down with the 3M backing because if you have to pick it back up to re-position it the glue may come off the hydro-turf. That is the worst I have seen as far as installation. Oh, and don't forget to clean the surface really good.
Best of luck!

Just make sure you clean the surface that you are sticking the turf to really well so that you get a good bond. Make sure you put it down very lightly until you have it placed right were you want it, don't put any pressure on it until you are satisfied with its position. Once you get it exactly where you want it beat is down with either your fist or a soft rubber mallet, once it is stuck down it ain't coming back up easily. I would recommend getting someone to help you with the larger pieces as the one that goes over the ski locker is kind of tricky to position.Hey Kevin, any tips or tricks for installing the Hydroturf? Speedster (00-03), Speedster SK (00)Kevin, How much did the hydro turf cost? How does it feel on your feet?
Increase the safety and beauty of your jet boat by adding Hydro-Turf traction mats. Kits are designed to cover most textured areas on the interior floor, boarding platform and foot rests. Add 3M self-adhesive for an additional $75.
Price $249.95
Manufacturer Sea-Doo
Part Number SD12
Link: Hydro-Turf
I got the 3M self-adhesive for the extra $75, I highly recommend getting it like this as it is much easier to install.
It feels excellent, I can't believe every DOO doesn't have this stuff in it!
P.S. - I believe Jenny can also vouche for the Hydro-Turf in my DOO as she slipped one time hopping onto the back platform before I had the turf in. One of the reasons why I invested in the turf after that happened.

I have sent for a few of the grey color samples.Cool, I am glad you got your turf. It will make a huge difference one you get it in the boat, I know you are excited. I could believe how much it did for my boat after I got it all laid down!
Kevin
How about durability and clean up. Looks like it would be a mess to remove so I would like to know it will be down for a while and not have to replace it.
Does it come clean and how is your holding up?
