considering a Speedster 200

Any problems or issues so far? What are the real speeds of the two boats? I drove a sportster 215hp and saw 56.1 on the GPS and honestly I was impressed with the little boats performance. The salesman told me the 310hp is just as fast as the little boat on top speed and acceleration, but another salesman told me the little boat was the fastest seadoo sportboat out.
Anyone here from TX?

I have been debating the thought of picking up a leftover 2004 myself, do you care to share who quoted you a price of $23,999 and what that included.....taxes, prep, wakeboard tower, galvanized trailer, or bimini top etc? The cheapest I have found on a leftover 2004 is $25,000 with none of the extras I mentioned, on top of the $25,000 tax, prep etc would still have to be paid so I doon't think it is a very good deal.
I myself haven't driven either one of the Speedster 200's yet but if you want to get some test results for the 310 hp model of the Speedster 200 then you can check out BoatTest.com. http://boattest.com/...nfo.aspx?ID=729.

So is $29,995 the list price they had on this boat or was this their price for everything out the door? I would be interested in this boat as I am looking for an upgrade from my 2000 Speedster 160 but I am like you I just don't want to put that much money into a boat right now. If that was not their out the door price then how much would they let that boat go for that you have pictured (taxs (Cobb County where I live is 5%), prep charges, documentation fees etc.)?
P.S. - Did you get any other shots of the boat that you can upload in the gallery? Was the only change the 370 hp sticker on the back of the boat?

I picked up a 2005 370HP model for 27900. A dealer had one in the Boat Trader for 27000 and i was going to pick that one up but it was a 12 hour drive. i managed to use that however to get the local dealer to get me one for 900 more thus the 27900 pricing.Larry I have been pondering the same thoughts myself, but unfortunatly I don't think anyone has had a chance to test out the new 370 hp model of the Speedster 200 yet. I am not sure if anyone has even got their hands on one yet, the only place that I have seen one listed is at a dealership close to where I boat which is called "Boats with Gusto", see his ad on BoatTrader.com, http://www.boattrade...t.html?78618216. He has it listed for $32,495.00.

I had a 1998 16 foot Speedster so i could not compare the SC and non SC models. However i can tell you that this boat is faster top end and feels like it has much more power than the 220 HP 1998 in any event. It doesn't do donuts quite as tight etc but it is more of a real boat in every way.
I highly recommend the SC model if you can find a good price. At only $250.00 a month for the rest of my life, it wasn't such a bad deal. Having to buy a new truck to tow it with was a large out of pocket expense however

I have great credit so i basically financed it for the rest of my life (15 years). I have no intention of letting it run out that long but my theory is spread it out as long as you can and then pay it off faster. That way if it hits the fan you don't have the liability of that larger payment etc in bad times. Thanks for the advice Tim and congrats on your new doo! Doo you mind me asking what kind of financing you did to get a payment at only $250.00 per month, interest rate and term?
0 down, a1 credit scores all 3 over 700 always. 15 years at either 5.99 interest at 252 per month. I'll only have it 3 years or so anyway unless it's real dependable etc. It was Bank of America who i have some accounts with but never ran much money through them.

What are your plans if gas really does hit $3/gallon?

that's why i have no intention of going all 15 years. HOwever this is a luxury item and not a necessary item. there are the first things to go when times get back etc. 250 a month is a small monthly commitment in my book. I can always pay it off in 5 years etc. Anyway if inflation is 3 to 5 % per year and the interest is only 6% it's not all that bad.I just figured it up and $250x15 years=$45000
I need to get into the finance business and have you guys start paying me the money
I finance cars out the same way. Max terms with zerio down, no tax, title or license out of pocket. Each year i buy a new car and get money back from my payments. I don't trade in for any reason.

I expect it to hit 3 bucks a gallon. I had a Nissan Titan and saw it coming. I now have a 20mpg car (Infiniti g35) but i work at home so i really don't need to drive.I was offered the %5.9 for 15 years too but it was a special deal for HBC from Wells Fargo. With me thought the OTD price with a cover was $28700so I am going to put $3700 down and finance $25k for a $210/month payment...I don't plan on picking up for a month or two so by then I might change my mind and go the 0 down route if it is still available and keep my down payment in the bank...Going to need it for gas
What are your plans if gas really does hit $3/gallon?
I bougt a new truck just to tow the boat and it literally sits there attached to the boat. I figure a MAX of 2500 miles per year so gas in that isn't going to be all that challenging either.
All my driving is for entertainment etc. The boat might suck gas but it's a whole lot better than the 1998 speedster in any event. That one used a ton more gas and equally the same cost per dollar of oil. This one is going to be a whole lot less costly on gas.
I should note i have the domain willworkforgas.com and i have had it for some time. its not going to stop at 3 bucks a gallon in my opinion. I think we are headed to 5 in the next few years in any event. I just sit back and wait for new technology and hope we have it before it hits 10 bucks a gallon or something.

PS We are glad you enjoyed our videos! We "borrowed" some of the video from parts of the dealer training DVD and then reassembled then into to the format you see. Also there is a shorter link to our website. Instead of http://www.kingslandreachmarina.com you can use http://www.seadoova.com .

Spoke with a dealer in New York today he has a blue 370 with a trailer, cover, and cost guard package. Said I could have it for $26,900. I had an old sea raider 10 years ago and I am getting a little nostalgic and I think I am going to pull the trigger on it this week. I also have last year's Sea Doo GTX 4-TEC with the same motors, they are very quite and smooth. Would love to here from anybody who has driven the 370.Larry I have been pondering the same thoughts myself, but unfortunatly I don't think anyone has had a chance to test out the new 370 hp model of the Speedster 200 yet. I just sent an email to Houston Boating Center about the 2005 Sportster SCIC. I am looking to buy one. I live here in Marble Falls, TX and Rick Carter Marine has a few boats. I am 1 week into researching boats (I'm a noob) and Rick Carter Marine laid down a hefty price for the 05 sportster SCIC. They quoted me $21,460 for it w/ tower & bimini top option. I think that is WAY too high so I'm getting quotes from Houston, Conroe, Angleton, & Corpus Christi.Houston Boating Center on Conroe is where I drove the SCIC and will drive the 370hp this week...They have no '04s left but are willing to deal on the '05s.
Cowtown Seadoo also is dealing on the '05s.

Where abouts are you, Larry?
