My left pump has been cavitating at high rpms and I'm thinking it might be the wear ring. I heard that 4tec pumps had problematic wear rings that were solved with a new version on the sea-doo pwc's. Do you think the boats have the same pump/wear ring problems?

I would imagine the pumps are very similar, if not the same. I haven't heard of many problems with the rings. But it is a good place to start. How is the driveshaft sealed on the 4-TEC? That could be a problem area too.

Had the port wear ring replaced, boat runs pefect again!

Nice. Do you know if the ring was new and improved or the same part as removed?
