[03 BUSA]

does anyone know what the top speed of the sportster 4-tec is? had it out on the weekend with about 15-20 mph wind got it to do 40mph so the speedo said. The sales guy said 65 but now i know he was full of it so just wanted to know what you guys have seen. Thank you

The top speed is like 50 mph ... the sales guy said to you 65 mph this is more the top speed of the sportster SC IC!

Dude no offence but most sells people are full of it, belive me.
The Boat will only do 65 down a cascade.

I've GPS indicated mine at 52 with my wife and I in it. I weigh about 150 lbs, and her about 100 lbs. 1/2 tank of fuel. flat as glass lake.

That is more like it. The high numbers are more believable for an RXP maybe...

if thats 52mph with 2 adults in a 155bhp the surely the scic will be getting close to 65??

i guess well have to wait for captain tom shacketon or whatever his name is at boattest.com - they are posting the scic results on mar 23!

Report is 6mph extra with the stock 215hp. Maybe some mods will help get the boat closer to 60mph.
