Hi thumper. As someone who has been there done that a dont think its true . You do get a surge in speed briefly put it quickly goes away as you catch boat. If boat does a stop&360 you lose forward momentum. I have a friend with radar gun , I'll see if i can use it if i can get the nerve up to go that fast again. That water do hurt at speed !i was once told that when cornering if the boat is doing say 25mph the tube on a 10m rope would be doin approx 3 times the speed - 75mph has anyone heard this before or do they know any physics geeks who could work it out for a 180lb person - would be interesting to know what speed you face dive into the water!!!
